oweneng widebody locost roadster

The oweneng locost kitcar is based upon the haynes roadster chassis but has a wider body to accomodate a pair of standard size bucket seats. Various other modifications have been made to increase strength and improve design

 

Our car will be powered by a 2 litre Ford zetec black-top engine and utilises the sierra 4x4's limited slip rear diff. We decided on the Ka sport's 16" alloys

 

As our car utilises Cortina front hubs, the lower wishbones use Cortina lower ball joints. These bolt to the wishbones which are formed to the same shape which ensures strength and improves looks
